 We played hooky from the cruise group and headed out to Darryl Starbird's Rod & Custom Car Museum  
  ...having been into automotive customizing business for years, Darryl had been someone that I studied, along with Barris - it was just too tempting to stop at when we saw the sign that it was only a jump off Route 66 
 The Cozma Ray (C2 Corvette) is just one of the ones I remembered from way back.

 ....lots of evidence of the extreme amount of water that OK has been flooded with during all the rains   compare the signs on this curve 
     
 Today, John Neas brought his SR-2 from his collection to put on display in the Lobby, in place of his Sebring Racer
     
     
  All had a great time at convention   
      
Country & Western Theme Party Night - Hosted by North Texas Vettes
Chairpersons: Donna Snyder & Nelda Mitchell

      
  A Country & Western Band provided the entertainment for the evening

  ...and of course Debbie was doing more door prizes.  Aaron Quinn with Kumho was assisting her this evening - they gave away 3 certificates good for any type of Kumho tire   
      
      
 Bernyce (RE) and Doug (SWR Webmaster) presented the 2008 Convention Chairpersons with a special gift for their hard work to make this Convention a success
the gift was a special bottle of Convention Wine from Lone Oak Winery in Burleson, TX
